...the water is warm...

Spent Tuesday night in my room at 1 in the morning watching Queer as Folk on my laptop. It is funny having to carry around DVDs and books in order to avoid conversations about my lifestyle with the parents. They know but they didn't want to.

Mary came over yesterday and we watched more Queer as Folk and I got beautiful. We went apartment shopping and then I came home for a bit. Went to Rancho with Mary and Jessie and Chris until we realized that we hate Rancho. We bought hummus and pita and pineapple and walked and talked with the animals. Eventually left Rancho and went to Greg's house where Mary decided to try and get me drunk. Greg is a cool guy but not the brightest scholar Grossmont College has ever seen. I have gotten ahead of myself and forgot to mention that the number one reason I we were going to Greg's was to investigate whether or not his roommate was gay or not. I was brought along to decide which was different II guess. The roommate was cute and gave off an "I'm interested vibe" but if he is he'll be coming out and that is always an interesting process which I've seen one person through and am not sure I would want to do it again. Anyways, Mary wants me to try and seduce Sam, the roommate from Oregon.

Mary talks a lot when she is drinking. She told Greg things that you usually don't tell people. I laughed. Mary sobered up and we drove home. I invented "deer goggles" and screamed T.A.T.U. lyrics and was in love with the taste of air. Sorry 'bout the text message Jessie but I do love you.

As we speak, they are grooming our palm trees. Hacking away at them until almost nothing is left and we'll just hope that they survive the winter without their beautiful coats 'cause humans deemed them ugly. And there is nothing they can say because their underlayers have been stripped away. Someday day we'll all know how that feels to be trimmed and clipped and peeled.
